Week10 - Introducing Casi Weisnicht
Why Horses?

That's like asking me why I breathe air. I
need horses in my life. They are the ultimate in beauty, intelligence,
grace, and heart, and
they are what make my life complete. From day one I have been obsessed
and absorbed in equines! I considered many careers as I was growing up,
like veterinarian or professional trainer. Photography happened by
chance for me, we had several horses that I would photograph for fun or
to use for advertising them. Gradually I became more skilled at getting
the right angles
and timing, and creating little works of art with my horses. Friends
and family suggested I try professional photography, and I thought that
was great, but it had to be with my equine friends! The rest is
history so to speak, I set up a website, invested in better equipment,
and worked hard to serve my customers. Currently, I am working full
time photographing horse shows, endurance rides, personal farm calls,
stallion promotions, and professional horse trainers.
What are your goals?
One of my short term goals is to build a nice
library of stock images and I have a good start on that thanks to the
IHPA Bluebonnet Photo Shoot. My biggest long term goal is to become one
of the top photographers in the business. I plan on doing that by
working hard, staying busy, making customers happy, and by expressing
my personal vision of horses through my photography.
