Bellvale Custom Photography is pretty new. We have years of experience, though. Since we began Bellvale Custom Photography two years ago we've been published quite a bit. My partner, Richard Ferrar, has been a photographer for many years. I'm a painter turned photographer with a lifelong attachment to horses. And to art. We love what we do and are excited about our work. A website's in the works. Keep an eye open for it.

These past two years we've concentrated on shooting dressage. In addition, we've done conformation photos, horses at liberty, fire breathing winter shots, mares and foals, yearlings, still lives of tack, equestrian clothing and other accoutrements, and some jumping, and western. I jumped a lot, myself, when I was young.

This year I've started to make diptychs. They "comment on each other", even if (particularly if) they‘re unrelated. They become related by proximity. Mostly, the images we sell are single, and they can tell stories, of course. When they are paired, though, they take on meaning that neither of them had alone. I really like the way they work together.

In one or two sentences describe your business to potential clients

I'd like to say that our eye is absolutely the best! I'd also like it said that Bellvale Custom Photography always gives more than the client expects.
